Hello! I am Hengzhi He, a first-year PhD student in the UCLA Statistics & Data Science Department. My advisor is Prof. Xiaowu Dai. I am a member of the Lab for Statistics, Computing, Algorithms, Learning, and Economics (SCALE) at UCLA.
Previously, I obtained my bachelor’s degree at the School of Mathematical Sciences, Peking University under the supervision of Prof. Wei Lin. I was also mentored by Prof. Weijie Su when doing my undergraduate research about the Isotonic Mechanism.
Currently, my main research interests lie in the intersections of Statistics and Operation Research. I am interested in using the methodology of statistics inference to make more efficient, fair, and trustworthy Decision-Making. My other research interests include statistical learning theory, high dimensional probability and its applications.
